Fresh off the UK R&B scene, Emil, an emerging soulful singer/songwriter, has dropped her debut single Hero, featuring Grime heavyweight P Money.
Although quite new to the music scene, Emil’s music CV is already quite impressive – already having worked with British producers The Heavytrackerz and even charting in the UK. in 2015 as a featured artist on Joe Weller’s track Wanna Do, but now she’s back with her debut solo single.
Produced by Ras (The Forbes), Emil’s sultry vocals seep through the smooth instrumental in Hero – as the soulful singer confronts her so-called ‘hero’, who has suddenly become a ‘zero’, while P Money fires back with brutal retort after an initial retort. The Hackney based singer described the track as “Being in the real word chasing a fairytale”, with P Money coming through representing the heartbreak theme in an interesting “male perspective”.
