Disco may be dead, but that doesn’t people from trying to bring it back. While most effects should be put back into the grave, I have a feeling we are all going to be onboard with CHIC’s new song. Of course, that may just be because Karlie Kloss is dancing in her undies in the video.
If you have no idea who CHIC are, they are band who were huge in the 1970s. They were one of the best disco bands ever with hits like "Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah)", "Everybody Dance", "I Want Your Love", "Good Times", "My Forbidden Lover", and probably the one song you know them for: "Le Freak". It looks like they are back with the help of Niles Rodgers (he played guitar on Daft Punk’s megahit “Get Lucky”); they are jumping back into the music scene - and what better way to make your presence known by making a music video for your new song with Victoria’s Secret model Karlie Kloss. Truly this video will have you waiting to dance, thanks to the ass shaking of Kloss in matching black bra and panties.
I don’t know if having Kloss in her bra and panties will single handedly bring back disco, but it can’t hurt to try. I doubt anyone will bust our their bell-bottoms and platform shoes, but I bet everyone will watch this video a couple more times. Oh yeah, the song is called "I'll Be There" by CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers.
