East London’s Afro-swing king Kojo Funds steppes in with some surprise drop visuals to his single “Goldenboy” taken off his same-titled recently released debut EP.
Kojo Funds seems to be on a roll as after just releasing the visuals to another song of his mixtape this weekend called “PNG”, featuring none other than South London’s Hollowman Giggs, and he now brings in some new heat with “Goldenboy”.
With some clean cut visuals directed by Wowa, Kojo is pictured in different studio shot scenarios, first setting the mic on fire as he starts to drop his verse to being pictured as an African king, surrounded by models. Kojo brings back his iconic uptempo afro-swing flow, blending in rap verses with grime and dancehall influences.
The title “Goldenboy” is a statement and the message os the song is self-explanatory. Kojo is a golden boy that has achieved a lot in a very short period of time in UK’s music scene, bringing in a new sound and a opening doors for a set of new artists.
Kojo Funds recently released his debut mixtape “Golden Boy”, a 16 track project with features from fellow artists Giggs, Abra Cadabra, Bugzy Malone, Yxng Bane, RAYE, Kranium, Maleek Berry, and Masicka. The song “Remedee” is featured on “The Intent 2: Come Up”‘s soundtrack.
