South London’s Croydon rapper and vocalist BRYN steps in a new fire collaboration with fellow rapper Suspect called “Bailiffs”.
Hailing from the fame of her Instagram mashups, BRYN started uploading her fiery vocal mashups on her @brynbp instagram page, which quickly grew from 4000 to 93,000 followers in under a year while her performances, (including live footage of her jumping up on stage with the likes of Big Tobz, Cadet, Central cee and Fredo), have accumulated over 10 million views. The 18 year old singer, songwriter and rapper who has been championed by Stefflon Don, Stormzy and Maya Jama recently signed a deal with Virgin EMI records in August and has since been consistently active in the music scene. She also recently performed with Yung Fume during his headline show back in August.
It is great to see her feature along with Suspect. The rapper has definitely had a good year joining Giggs on his Europe tour, releasing his debut album”Still Loading” and featuring on some of the biggest hits this year. Most recently he has featured artists like Skepta, A2 and Octavian.
A Sugarcane Media production, the visuals to”Bailiffs” sees BRYN and Suspect in an underground, urban looking scenario, surrounded by cars in an abandoned parking spot. The scenario sort of reminds of the typical USA ghetto scenario. BRYN is able to go hard in on 16 bars before switching to powerful, R&B inflected vocals. Her under ‘Anne-Marie meets Ms Banks’ delivery is wavey with those trap influence and needless to say when Suspect steps on the beat, it’s always a problem. I always like his raw ad libs and the aggresive yet jumpy energy he sends out with every verse.
The song is definitely hard and the visuals are there to match it. Make sure you check out the visuals out now via GRM Daily.
