South London DJ, producer and broadcaster Kenny Allstar calls in North West London rapper M Huncho for visuals to Kenny’s second project of his upcoming debut body of work “Block Diaries”. The album will be out on 5 October and it’s needless to stay the streets are waiting for this one to drop. Just looking at the line-up on it, you know it will be turnt.
After the success of the album’s first single “Tracksuit” featuring Headie One, Kenny reveals brand new visuals to “Solo”. The video, shot on the South side of the river by Gwil Doe, shows Kenny Allstar and M Huncho in cinematic captions, riding a classic Ford Mustang GT350. They apparently seem to be leading an illegal organisations as suggested by the characters wearing suits yet covering their faces.
M Huncho is one of the most noteworthy artists in the industry, never disappointing, be it either on a single track or a feature. He “comes in with the flame for “Solo”, bringing in his trapwave flow and not being shy at all with the content of his lyrics. The song is an emphasis of both artists’ efforts and hard-work that brought them so far independently, never waiting for handouts – “Solo” is definitely the most appropriate title. Huncho’s well-mastered wordplay makes out a catchy chorus, easy to vibe to.
By the looks of it, Kenny Allstar’s “Block Diaries” will be a dope project. With two bangers already out, I can’t wait to see what will come out next.
Meanwhile, make sure you watch the video out now via GRM Daily.
