South London based rap collective Smoke Boys are back with their first music video of 2019! Back in October they released their latest mixtape Don’t Panic 2 and released videos for “Hurry N Buy”, “Section 6ixty” featuring 67 (Dimzy & LD) and “Outside” featuring Belly Squad. This time around they’ve dropped a video for track 9 on their latest effort. Titled “Let That Go” this is just one of a few cuts on the tape that was produced by MoneyEvery. The track itself finds all six Smoke Boys attacking the beat in their individual styles, detailing the trap how they know best! I reckon Deepee has the hardest verse on this, but their competitive nature and camaraderie naturally drives each member to keep their pen game on point.
Directed by Paul Whisper, the “Let That Go” visuals take us to the kitchen where it all started as they literally detail the trap.. Drone shots help set the scene as we see a backdrop of their squad as they show out. The group have basically picked up from where they left off, but it still feels like yesterday when dropped the first Don’t Panic project in 2015, they were shutting down shows all over the country and in everyone’s ears. In saying that, their work rate has been impressive since their return and subsequent name change.
