The UK versus US narrative is tired, especially when it is becoming more common to see collaborations across the pond on every level.
From Stefflon Don and Tory Lanez (“Senseless” Remix), to Nafe Smallz, M Huncho and Gunna (Broken Homes) to Drake and Dave (“Wanna Know” Remix). Now even drill artists are collaborating which is clear to see via Toronto based rapper Lil 6 and Brixton’s own M24.
The tandem have joined forces by linking up on “Came Thru” produced by none other than M1OnTheBeat, who is one of the most sought after drill producers in the game.
With the visuals being directed by Braide Films, we see shots of both artists and their respective cities as Lil 6 is filmed in Angell Town alongside M24, a clear sign of respect between the two. Lil 6’s delivery and voice on M1’s production is refreshing as we’re not used to hearing Canadian drillers on M1 beats, his penchant for rhyming is at the forefront of his verse. M24 takes a more orthodox approach to the beat and is assured in his delivery. It is unsure where “Came Thru” will end up but it is clear to see that the two drillers have a chemistry on beat that should be revisited.
