London based producer MKThePlug had a great 2018 making a name for himself as one of the most sought after drill producers in the scene along side M1OnTheBeat. Last year saw him collaborate with acts such as Headie One, Loski, Unknown T and many more. 2019 will see the release of his upcoming debut mixtape titled Stages and in anticipation of this, the first track and music video have been released. Appropriately titled “Intro”, the first track features North West London based rapper B Money who floats over MK’s cold, minimalist production with boastful, assertive bars and a catchy hook.
The Madbrothers Productions directed video finds B Money masked up on his local strip with the gang as we are treated to an array of different camera shots, not to mention the ever-present camera rotation. B Money depicts his lifestyle without going into detail as he raps about the trap, beef, hitting up the motorway and more as his delivery is akin to quick jabs landing on a heavy bag. As the first track from MKThePlug’s aforementioned Stages mixtape, this is a good statement of intent as we may yet see some surprises on the tape.
