Octavian makes a stellar return in 2018 as he unveils the brand new music video to his latest offering, collaborating with Sam Wise on 100 Degrees.
Last year was a very prosperous one for trippy, rising rapper Octavian, being cosigned by one of the biggest rappers in the game right now and flipping the game on its head with moving single, Party Here. The French-born South East London raised rapper brings something different to the table in the UK and it is extremely evident in the overwhelmingly positive reactions he’s received thus far that he is definitely one to watch for 2018.
100 Degrees is a very dope audio release, accompanied by an almost equally as impressive visual output – as the special effects consume the trippy visuals almost directly indicative of the seemingly very unique vibe and sound the talented artists offer up on this occasion. Octavian’s not so subtle, standout flow continues to shine bright on this one and he impressively continues to find that wavy pocket that makes it so wavey.
Tis might be just me, but I appreciate an artistic set of visuals when I see them and 100 Degrees is no different, the colour schemes and effects are a little different then you would expect when trying to portray people as heat signatures but it is quite reminiscent of that to me, non the less – though the colours used are quite indicative of hot temperatures at times, the imagery does leave more to be desired visually at stages. The ideas in this one are quite out of the box but fitting all at the same time – for the mood and overall vibe and experience the track supplies.
