QUEEN KWONG "Get A Witness" release

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*
Queen Kwong
Queen Kwong gets to the heart of the matter.
The Los Angeles artist - real name Carré Callaway - stopped by London earlier this year for a four show residency, a vivid exhibition of her startling stage show.
Returning to the studio with The Icarus Line head honcho Joe Cardamone, the pair worked from scratch, improvising one song per day.
With the singer's debut album due for release on August 28th, Clash is able to premiere the video for recent single 'Get A Witness'.
Simple yet dazzlingly effective, the monochrome visuals match the starkness of the music itself.
Carré explains: "'Get A Witness'" is the title track on the record. I chose the song to be the title track on my debut LP because it's one of the most personal and meaningful songs to me. I didn't have time to really develop a concept for the video because we were on tour with Failure during the time it needed to be made. We shot it in a Motel 6 somewhere in Tennessee and we didn't have much to work with. So, Hayden Scott (my drummer who is also amazing behind a camera) and I decided to just make it simple and beautiful which worked out really well because it let the song and lyrics be the main focus of the video."
Check it out now.
