Birmingham artist Mayhem NODB, who is also known as Mr. HazeuM, returns to the scene with dark visuals for his new track ‘Trust/Lovely Jubbly’. Released on JDZ Media, Mayhem NODB gets into the Halloween spirit.
Props to Prince Rapid & Mystry, who are the producers of this instrumental. This gritty beat is probably one of the best beats I have heard in a long time. Definitely stink face worthy. Mayhem NODB’s harsh and unrefined tone, lyrical flow and mantra throughout the track compliments the instrumental.
Although the music video is split into two ideas, the key concept of the music video toys with Halloween. The visuals consists of a group of clowns terrorising a bunch of teens at night. Mayhem NOBD is seen throughout the first half of the visual wearing a clown face with spliffs stuck it, surrounded by others clown in costumes, weapons, balloons, fireworks etc. The switch up gets two thumbs up. The beat flips still keeping that gritty edge but with a softer undertone emphasised by possibly a violin or some sort. The visual displays Mayhem NODB himself in the open.
Everything about this tune is grimey. Overall the combination of lyrics, instrumental and visuals tie in really well together.
