Syikes is back with another banger and this time its ‘Mic Check 1, 2’.
Brixton’s very own, Syikes has had a tremendous year musically thus far. Back in July, he unveiled a hot album entitled Sychology. The album has 21 tracks including Bad Habits, Foreign (featuring Dread and Rendo), If You Were Mine and Hit Em All (featuring Political Peak).
Also, more recently, Syikes collaborated with Mike Stones and No Case for their joint effort entitled ‘Issues’ – if you enjoy real rap then check it out here.
Now, Syikes is back again with another track – and it’s hot! His latest track, entitled ‘Mic Check 1, 2’, was unveiled on GRM Daily. Listeners and fans are loving the track, calling Syikes ‘the most underrated in Brixton’.
Mic Check 1, 2 shows a different side to Syikes’ musical ability – the track is lively, fresh and the beat is wavy. The bars are hot, as always – you can’t expect anything less from Syikes as he always delivers the heat.
The visuals were filmed and edited by Nathaniel Media and Kirk Brissett. It’s a laid back vibe. From Syikes spitting on his lonely – on the block with his mic; to the rapper getting cosy with a video model in the next scene. It’s a great track and great watch!
