Since her 2014 mixtape, Once Upon A Grind, South London rapper Ms Banks, has made her mark in the music scene. The fierce, sassy artist has been championed for her lyricism and delivery, stepping up th levels and garnering a lot more attention with her Fire In The Booth freestyle, last year.
Now she is back with her newest track, Vibez, a track where she’s at her most undeniable: her bars are out for blood and zoned in, matching the vigour of the pounding beat behind her, listing all of the ways she’s better than other rappers.
The track is in-your-face-impressive, filled with the kind of lush, braggadocious delivery the rapper has mastered, opening the track with “It’s Banks, for those who didn’t know, lyrical yeah, I leave b*****s critical, you don’t have to ask who the hardest is, these pricks are my sons, my b****rd kids” and “taking spots would have thought I parked in this. Step in the booth and turn into an anarchist”. The talented rapper also brings the party vibes on the hook, encouraging everyone on the dance floor to “Lets get left, do a- one- to- step, because it’s alright. Yo we still in the hood, but if it feels good we do it all night”.
Watch the Eric Myers directed video above as Ms Banks throws the ultimate house party, turning up and vibing with her friends.
