FAKE SHARK "Cheap Thrills" release

*THE SYNDICATE DOES NOT EXIST*

Fake Shark"Cheap Thrills" (video)
Fake Shark have rebranded, having ditched the "Real Zombie" portion of their band name, but are still doling out funk-punk weirdness in their new single, "Cheap Thrills." You can sample the track for free in a video stream before the Vancouver outfit issue the track on their next official LP, Faux Real

The song itself holds onto a fuzzed-up, new romantic bass line and various plinking six-string tones, hip-breaking grooves and assorted chiming textures. Vocalist Kevvy delivers his lines in a near falsetto whisper, weighing in on casual romances, wild hearts and wild nights.

The video finds the threesome dancing and performing the track in front of a green screen, with background visuals including cannonball pool party action and nightclub dance-offs.

Fake Shark's Faux Real, which follows 2013's Liar, is set to land sometime in the future. It features production work from Steve Bays and an appearance from Kool Keith.
