North West London Stonebridge based and founding member of the creative collective Too Rare To Die, Stash Peso, returns with a wavey sounding project titled “Thank God (Make it last forever)”. The song is a remix of USA’s “Songbird Supreme” Mariah Carey, written and produced by the artist along with the Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis production team released in early 2000s’.
The artist seems to be making his comeback to the scene as he released “Wave” this summer, in collaboration with another original member of the Too Rare To Die team, L Martin and which they described as a “R’N’Drill” production.
The visuals to “Thank God” are directed by long time collaborating partner Adrian Black aka AB Noire and capture the artist pulling up a in a car to the open rooftop of a multi car park, delivering a smooth sounding freestyle. With his music inspired by artists such as Dizzee, Wretch 32, Ears, Jay Z and Kendrick Lamar but also by singers like Frank Ocean and James Fauntleroy we can expect some deep sounding content, with a strong referenced wordplay. Stash treats his music more like a personal diary and he does not disappoint with “Thank God” as we can hear him discuss real life scenarios from his life in ends and romance.
It is refreshing to hear such a soothing production coming back to the UK music scene and it seems we will be getting a second project sooner than we think as Stash has announced a featuring with Raj Forever to be released on 4 December 2018. Meanwhile make sure you watch the visuals to “Thank God (Make it last forever)” out now via his own channel and let us know what you think in the comment section.
