Noisey presents the visuals to ‘Badness’ – a wavy track by Hypo featuring Sleeks.
Rapper and producer Hypo, also known as Bigg Hypes, has unveiled his collaborative effort with Section Boyz very own Sleeks – who also featured in another Noisey presentation ‘Don’t Call It Road Rap’. The standalone single is entitled ‘Badness’ – and as well as the track, the visuals are also wavy.
The video for Badness is filmed as if it was a short movie, starting with dialogue between both artists and ending with some real action from Hypo. It’s smooth and polished, making it an enjoyable watch – thanks to great direction from Patrick Odur.
In between the cinematic scenes of the music video, Hypo leads the song with a dark and melodic style of rap. There’s badness around the world but the artist is showing love to the hustlers – and those who don’t snitch. It’s a nice vibe.
Sleeks joins in on the chilled out vibe of Badness but effortlessly switches things up a notch as he has a different flow. The bars are direct and relatable – yet articulated in an easily digestible way that those who can’t relate will also enjoy the song.
Badness is easy to listen to and pleasant to watch. All in all, it’s a great track.
